The pub, the random castle, the beach and the not so random castle

We found this castle hidden and tucked away behind some very steep and very old looking stairs.

All the iron gates to get into the 1080 castle ruins were locked so instead of coming back when it's open for viewing, the impatient climb up the ancient architecture and break in.

Reminds me of the type of iron in Sharon Old's poetry

Again with the climbing and breaking and entering.

In sheer awe of the age of the stone

Profound architecture

being silly is the only way to be

AWWWW!

Stairs leading to....

Do you see where the edge of the beach curves around and comes to a point as if to enter the sea? We're going to walk there (about 3 miles)...

Is it just me or do we look grown up?

We're getting much closer to the end now.

"Yeah, you can probably walk across it but it's freezing cold and about waist high and the current's quite strong. I might give it a bit before you try it." - A nice informed woman.
"But I want to go across now!" - David
